Cure for Constipation – Is There One?
While there are many treatments for constipation, there is only one real cure for constipation. That is by changing your diet and exercise routine to increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables along with whole grains and an adequate amount of water. Enough fiber is the only way to get rid of constipation and make sure that it stays gone.
Fiber works in conjunction with the whole grains and the water to keep your body running like a well oiled machine. These make sure that the digestive processes run smoothly and get the waste that needs to be evacuated out of the body. This is what needs to be done in order to keep the body as healthy as it can be.
Another part of the cure for constipation is exercise. This does not mean it must be a full blown work out plan every day of the week. Just some regular exercise each week will keep everything moving along in the system so that it does not stay in the colon or the intestine longer than it is meant to be there. It makes a lot of difference when there is exercise added to a diet with increased fiber and water in it.
You can see that this is a lifestyle, not just a treatment. People who work to keep their diets high in fiber, drink enough water every day, and get in a decent amount of exercise tend to have few problems with constipation. Therefore, a cure for constipation is simply living a healthy lifestyle. It is a cure for a problem that will most likely never come up because of the correct diet and exercise.
If you have not been eating a healthy diet, or at least not one with an adequate amount of fiber, you may find that constipation is something that happens to you too frequently. Treatment after treatment may work temporarily for you but until you decide that you want to change your lifestyle for the better, you will not be experiencing a full cure for constipation. To get that, you must follow this new eating program religiously so that your system can become accustomed to getting what it needs in the amounts that it needs.
Once you get adjusted to eating this new way, you will notice within a few days that you are already feeling much better. This may take you away from all the junk food and sweets, but you WILL feel better and will not be constipated.
